For others, it can be a daunting task to build a house for their Sim household that is more than just a box with doors, windows and a roof. And, provided that there are walls around your round room/curved area and these walls have a ceiling/roof, the round room should be weatherproof too.īe warned, though, using fences on these areas is whole different challenge (another tutorial for the near future), so in order for Sims to access them, you’ll have to keep part of it open. The Sims 4 Building Basics: Build Mode Guide for Beautiful Homes by Norma Blackburnįor many Simmers, building is their favorite part of the game. Sims can walk around on the round room area just fine – and there shouldn’t be any issues interacting with objects as normal. We’ll address some nuanced ways to disguise these in a later article, but using a platform foundation with a thick edge is the quickest and easiest way to disguise most of that unsightly aesthetic. If you want to place your round room or curved walls inside a house in The Sims 4, you need to be prepared to deal with some clipping around the edges. Now, select your half circle, make a copy and place it next to its other half and, viola, you have a full circle. If you only want to create a curved room effect inside a house, you can use this half-circle in the same way as you would a full circle. Select the platform and bring in the edges until you have a half-circle shape like in the screenshot below. You should have something that sort of looks like it wants to be a circle, but hasn’t grown up yet. Make a copy of the platform you just placed and place both next to each other and get both at the same level. For the purposes of this article and tutorial, though, we are going to use the platform option. You can also use the deck option or the generic room option – it really doesn’t matter too much. The size doesn’t matter too much, you can still adjust it later. In Build Mode, click on the Walls and Empty Rooms option and place one of Rounded Platform prebuilds.
